We are moving from an age of intellect and competition to one of collaboration, authenticity, wisdom, and sustainability. These new ways of engaging the world—and each other—are emerging across all sectors of the business and nonprofit spectrum as progressive thinkers and doers embrace what is essentially a deep, global shift in values and consciousness.
My mission is helping individuals and organizations to ride this wave of change using the skills I’ve accumulated in my 20+ years as a leader, communicator, and strategist in a variety of professional capacities.

Leadership / Management
In my various positions as an executive-level manager (in nonprofits, publishing, and healthcare), I have followed the model of servant-leadership and the principles of "conscious business." This essentially means that what you do is as important as how you do it and that each outcome serve both self/company and community. I treat staff respectfully as professionals and fellow team members, give them enough room to do their jobs well, and keep my eye on the deliverables. I value thoughtfulness, creativity, efficiency, mutual respect, and an occasional dose of constructive mischief.
Communications / Publishing
I love words and the crafting of them into tools of powerful messaging and insight. I have written and edited everything from press releases and marketing copy to web content, feature articles, research papers, and proposals. In running two magazines, I had the pleasure of working with skilled teams of writers, editors, and designers to create high-quality, four-color periodicals of both breadth and depth. I also co-founded a book imprint, Noetic Books. Its first book, The Untethered Soul, recently made the New York Times Top 10 list in self-help. I am also a published author with three titles on business.

Research
I have a deep appreciation for sound research—digging down through the layers of an issue to give shape and substance to what isn’t apparent on the surface. For five years I was senior analyst at a small but prestigious consulting company where I designed, managed, and wrote up the findings of dozens of research projects. Using surveys, interviews, focus groups, and secondary data searches as information-gathering tools, I analyzed the results, generated recommendations, and presented the findings to senior-level management which used them to profile their audiences, develop marketing programs and new products, and fine-tune long-term strategic plans.
